Qatar said liquefied natural gas export capacity won’t be impacted by an accident on Sunday that caused explosion at the Ras Laffan industrial complex.
“This will not affect our exports,” Saad al-Kaabi, Chief Executive Officer of operator QatarEnergy, said at a press conference in Doha on Monday. He added that investigation of the accident, which killed 13 and injured 66 people, has begun. The company also doesn’t expect an impact on local supply which is ample.
