Major stock market indexes in the United States opened higher on Monday after Vice President JD Vance, following another round of talks with Iran in Buergenstock, Switzerland, announced that Tehran has agreed to invite the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors back into the country. Previously, the mediators, Pakistan, Qatar, and Switzerland, noted progress in the negotiations.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 0.28% or 146 points as Caterpillar Inc. grew by 2.16% at 9:31 am ET. The Nasdaq 100 increased by 0.56% or 164 points. The S&P 500 gained 0.12%. Super Micro Computer Inc. was the best performer on the latter two indexes, jumping by 7.41%
The euro decreased by 0.31% against the dollar at 9:28 am ET, selling for $1.14365.
