Serbia's Vucic to resign 'in a few weeks'

 Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced at the "Serbia, one family" rally in Belgrade on Saturday that he will resign in "a few weeks."

"I want to tell you, dear citizens, because this is the last time for me to address you in this number, I will probably never have the opportunity to speak in front of this number of people again, but certainly the last time I address you in front of this number, in front of this many people, as the President of the Republic," Vucic added. "I will resign in a few weeks."

He also signaled at early ⁠presidential and parliamentary elections. Vucic's second ​and ​last mandate expires in ​mid-2027.
