US said not returning to combat: CNN

 The United States is not returning to combat after carrying out strikes against Iranian targets on Friday, CNN reported, citing a senior US official.

In a separate report, Fox News reported a senior US defense official as saying the strikes were complete for the night.

The US Central Command explained the operation was conducted in response to an alleged Iranian drone attack on a Singapore‑flagged vessel in the Strait of Hormuz.
