The United States Department of State published on Thursday a joint statement by Washington and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) following their meeting in Manama, Bahrain.
In their official statement, the countries in question welcomed the signing of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the US and Iran. Yet, they urged Iran against launching new missile attacks on the Gulf countries and financing its proxies in the region. The participants also rejected "any tolls, fees, or attempts to assert control" over the State of Hormuz.
Furthermore, the participants welcomed the talks between Israel and Lebanon, while stressing that those are "not conditional on the outcomes of other conflicts." Additionally, they expressed support for the demilitarization of Gaza and insisted that "no one will be forced to leave Gaza, and those who wish to leave will be free to return."
