Deutsche Bahn, Germany's railway operator, halted trains nationwide over an IT disruption.
"No train service nationwide. Due to a nationwide disruption of the GSM-R digital rail radio system, all trains are being held at stations," the company said late Tuesday.
"We are working intensively to resolve the issue," it added in a notice on its website.
