The biotechnology sector continued its advance on Tuesday, with the iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) reaching a record intraday high of $179.95 as investor interest in the industry remained strong. The fund was trading nearly 1% higher on the session and is on track to secure its highest closing level ever.
IBB, one of the largest exchange-traded funds focused on biotechnology, manages approximately $8.28 billion in assets and provides exposure to 257 holdings across the space. The fund’s latest milestone underscores the sustained strength that has characterized biotech stocks over the past year.
