Iran said to limit Hormuz traffic to fixed daily volume

Iran plans to allow only a certain number of vessels to pass through the Strait of Hormuz in one day, Iranian news outlet Fars News Agency reported on Tuesday, citing a military source.

According to the report, the plans have been coordinated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' (IRGC) Navy, and the number of vessels that are allowed passage through the waterway will vary daily and depend on "conditions." The report added that the Strait of Hormuz has been closed in recent days due to Israel's actions and the violations of the United States' commitments in the memorandum of understanding, with no ships receiving permits to pass through.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump previously said that the Middle Eastern waterway is open and that 19 million barrels of oil "flowed out" of it yesterday.
