United States President Donald Trump is expected to meet with leaders of major US defense firms on Wednesday amid peace talks with Iran, CBS News reported on Monday, citing sources familiar with the matter.
According to the report, executives from Lockheed Martin, RTX, BAE Systems, Boeing, Honeywell Aerospace, L3Harris, and Northrop Grumman are expected to attend. One source said the industry received a clear message to accelerate production and fulfill existing contracts.
CBS reported that Trump will seek answers from Northrop Grumman on Wednesday after the company carried out a share buyback earlier this year, as the administration pushes defense contractors to direct more resources toward manufacturing and weapons production.
