North Korean leader Kim Jong-un declared at a Central Military Commission meeting that enhancing nuclear capabilities is Pyongyang's only path for the future, according to North Korea's ruling party newspaper Rodong Sinmun.
Kim emphasized that "continuously expanding and strengthening nuclear forces ... and thoroughly exercising the status of a nuclear state is the most accurate and only way" to respond to global instability.
He also condemned the United States' and South Korea's military activities, accusing them of escalating "nuclear threats," while North Korea accelerates weapons programs and reveals new facilities.
