The Embassy of the United States in Jerusalem issued an immediate security alert for US government employees and their family members in Israel to shelter in place until further notice due to the recent Iran strikes there.
It ordered people to remain prepared to move to protected shelters if a "red alert" siren signified missiles, rockets or hostile aircraft. Consequently, the consular sections at both the US Embassy in Jerusalem and the Embassy Branch Office in Tel Aviv will be closed on Monday, June 8.
