The White House is expected to host top executives from the crypto and prediction markets industries on Wednesday, August 19, people briefed on the matter told Politico on Thursday.
The report added that executives from the traditional finance sector may also be invited to the event. However, the sources stressed that it is still unclear which executives will participate and whether US President Donald Trump will attend the meeting.
The gathering is scheduled for the day before the inaugural session of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s newly formed Innovation Advisory Committee, a group composed of executives from leading companies in the cryptocurrency, gambling, finance, and prediction markets sectors, among others.
