Humana Maintains Affordable Medicare Advantage Plans and Expands Specialized Care

As Medicare’s Annual Election Period (AEP) begins Oct. 15, Humana is offering 2027 Medicare Advantage plans designed to deliver high-value coverage with affordable monthly premiums. Members will have continued access to the benefits they value most – including $0 cost-sharing on in-network primary care visits and labs plus dental, vision, and hearing coverage. Additional 2027 highlights include:

  • Medicare Advantage plans in approximately 2,600 counties across 45 states and Washington, D.C., representing more than 80% of U.S. counties.
  • Expanded Chronic Condition Special Needs Plans (C-SNPs) – Medicare Advantage plans designed for people with qualifying chronic health conditions – into Pennsylvania, Utah and Wisconsin, giving more beneficiaries with qualifying chronic conditions access to specialized, coordinated care, extra benefits and support.

Humana’s 2027 Medicare Advantage plans are designed to provide affordable coverage, predictable healthcare costs and access to benefits that support beneficiaries’ everyday health needs. Medicare Advantage plans cover all services offered through fee-for-service Medicare, with many plans also providing prescription drug benefits, dental, vision and hearing coverage, and maximum out-of-pocket protection, helping beneficiaries know upfront the most they would pay for eligible medical expenses during the year.

“Medicare Advantage brings healthcare coverage, care coordination and additional benefits together in a way that helps support both health and affordability,” said Aaron Martin, Humana’s President of Insurance. “Members consistently tell us they value affordable coverage and access to quality care and benefits such as pharmacy, dental and vision that support their everyday health needs. That feedback continues to guide our Medicare Advantage offerings and reinforce the important role the program plays in helping people navigate healthcare with confidence.”

Humana’s 2027 offerings were designed around the priorities Medicare beneficiaries consistently identify as most important when evaluating health coverage. A recent Morning Consult survey found affordability, stability, access and choice rank among beneficiaries’ top priorities when selecting health coverage. The survey also found that Florida seniors view Medicare Advantage favorably on key attributes such as prescription drug coverage, affordability and access to dental, vision and hearing benefits.
