Tehran Friday prayer Imam said in his sermon that if Iran’s adversaries carried out a new plan, “another Al-Aqsa Flood” would follow, referring to Hamas October 7 attack on Israel.
“The resistance forces dealt a serious blow to the Zionist regime’s credibility and security image during Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, and the repercussions of this development spread across various arenas in the region,” Mohammadjavad Hajaliakbari said.
He also warned that Iran would keep the Strait of Hormuz closed until its declared conditions are fully met.
Hajaliakbari added that Iran’s armed forces had increased their readiness and addressed previous weaknesses, and that the country’s military strategy had shifted from defensive to offensive.
The cleric said what he called “revenge for the blood of the martyred leader of the revolution” remained on the agenda.
He also described Iran’s nuclear program as a domestic issue and said Tehran would decide on its next steps after its conditions were met.
