MLB Scolds Players Who Wrote Bible Verses On Pride Night Uniforms

Major League Baseball on Monday issued a warning to three players who represent the gayest city in America, but who dared to write references to a biblical passage on their Pride Night uniforms. The three San Francisco Giants teamed up for the subtle gesture at Friday night's home game, which they lost 5-1 to the visiting Chicago Cubs.

“The writing on the cap violates our rules and, consistent with normal practice, we have warned the players about future violations,” MLB chief communication officer Pat Courtney told Outsports, which bills itself as "your home for all things LGBTQ+ sports." (Um... all things???)  Outsports said the players "disgraced themselves" and accused them of "weaponing [sic] the Pride rainbow and attacking the LGBTQ community."

In 2026, only the Texas Rangers are abstaining from Pride Night observations. The Giants' Pride Night featured the national anthem being performed by members of an "LGBTQ-affirming nondenominational church," and homosexual married couples renewing their vows under the approving eye of a drag queen. Three Giants pitchers had their own idea for the festivities.

Landen Roupp wrote "Genesis 9:12-16" on the Pride Night cap issued to players by the San Francisco Giants

Starter Landen Roupp and relievers JT Brubaker and Ryan Walker wrote "Genesis 9:11-16" next to the rainbow "SF" on the special hats issued for the occasion. Within those verses, God promises he'll never again unleash a mass homicide in the form of a flood, as he did in the story of Noah, and he says the rainbow will serve as a recurring reminder of that commitment:

"And God said, 'This is the sign of the covenant that I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all future generations: I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth. When I bring clouds over the earth and the bow is seen in the clouds, I will remember my covenant that is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh. And the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. When the bow is in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth."

After the game, Roupp told reporters he wanted to lead fans to "God's covenant and the promise that He makes to us," adding, "There's no hate at all. It’s just what I stand for, and what I stand in. I believe in God...As a believer, I would push [LGBTQ people] to read the Bible." A fourth Giant, Sam Hentges, refused to wear the cap at all, and said, "It’s just something that I feel like I was forced to support, when I don't morally support it."

San Francisco Chronicle sports columnist Ann Killon railed against the pitchers for "defacing" their uniforms with...a bible verse. "On a night that was supposed to be about inclusion, they hijacked the event for their own purposes. In the name of Christianity, they took a decidedly un-Christian stance of exclusion and judgment." Sounds like Killon's version of inclusion has no room for Christians.

The Giants pitchers didn't pioneer the use of the Genesis passage to "re-claim" the rainbow as a religious symbol. The verses have been used that way for some 20 years or more, as evidenced by a 2007 article, "Taking Back the Rainbow," which lamented that, "sadly, the colors of the rainbow are...used on a flag for the gay and lesbian movement."

The Dodgers have repeatedly invited the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence to participate in Pride Night festivities

Last June, the Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw stirred controversy by writing the same verse-reference on his cap. In his biography, Kershaw explained his thinking:

“I put a lot of thought into it, and talked to a lot of different people...I just came to the conclusion that the Dodgers really put us in a horrible position. It’s not an LGBT issue. It’s just, like, [the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence are] pretty rough. And I’m all for funny, and satire, but that goes way beyond it. So I did feel like I needed to say something...

If you ever doubted the fading US empire is wading ever deeper into Caligula levels of depravity that targets everyone in our society, the Dodgers' embrace of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence at Pride Night observations helps provide clarity. The fiendish-looking group of drag queens wears nun garb and makes vulgar mockeries of Roman Catholicism, Christianity and traditional values, adopting names like "Sister Anita Blowjob" and "Sister GladAss of the Joyous Reserectum."

Let's be thankful that players like the quartet of Giants, the Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw and others are pushing back against LGBTQ being force-fed to people who just want to watch a baseball game

Obama fails to pay the help

by Monica Showalter

After building an ugly, overprice, monstrosity marring the design of a famous Chicago park, anybody surprised to learn that the Obama Presidential Center has failed to pay the help?

Multiple little-guy contractors have told Fox News that they've been stiffed on the payments for their goods and services.

According to Fox News:

Concern is mounting that taxpayers could be left holding the bag if the Obama Presidential Center runs into financial trouble, as the foundation behind it has yet to establish a promised $470 million safety net to guard against a public bailout.

The scrutiny comes as a Fox News Digital investigation found multiple contractors and subcontractors claiming losses ranging from hundreds of thousands of dollars to millions on the project, with some alleging they remain locked in payment disputes and face financial ruin just days before the center's grand opening.

Under its agreement with the city, the Obama Foundation pledged to create the fund, known as an endowment, as part of its 99-year deal to take control of the publicly owned 19.3-acre section of Jackson Park for a one-time payment of just $10.
So if they don't create the fund, the city should rightfully get the wrecking ball out and get rid of the ugly monolith, because it's nakedly violating its contract.

But that won't happen so long as the city is run by Democrats.

That's allowed the Obama team to conclude that there's nothing they can't get away with, including running out on their tab from contractors.

It has a million-dollar endowment on paper, and presumably still there if there's no funny bookkeeping.

It pays Valerie Jarrett a minimum $740,000 per year salary. Its other former Obama administration staffers clock in at $400,000 to $600,000-plus salaries. It's got money in the bank, plus big-dollar ticket fees for admission to the monolith.

Salaries and benefits soared from $18.5 million in 2018 to $43.7 million in 2024, as staffing expanded to 337 employees and annual revenue reached nearly $210 million.

But the little guy who smooths the cement or does the gardening or catering or windows and floors gets nothing, and as the video report notes, some of these small businesses are going bankrupt for not getting paid.

And the Obama center says nothing, effectively rendering these black contractors' delivered work slavery, work for nothing. Work for 'the honor' of paying obeisance to The Won.

Something about that is just so ... Democrat. Democrats expect others to do things for them for free, and like doing it. They have a special contempt for the little guy; the guys Obama has oleaginously praised with his forked tongue, with 'work hard,' and all that.

Somehow, he can't be bothered to pay the help, unless a media spotlight is on them, and even then, not necessarily so. They just don't value the work these people have done, nor do they value the work America has done. They pay themselves first and let the rest of the contributors twist in the wind.

It's outrageous and this story ought to be better known.

Left behind

 by Bill Ponton

White flight from urban areas was a widespread phenomenon throughout the ‘60s and ‘70s, and into the ‘80s, but not all whites retreated to the suburbs. The fate of those left behind, mostly elderly whites, does not get reported. If the progressive press does mention them, it treats them with the same contempt that it reserves for the Afrikaners in South Africa. It dismisses them as racist relics that deserve whatever fate befalls them. But what was their fate? History books are mute on the subject. The reality was harsh for those elderly whites trapped in their homes as the neighborhood changed around them. They did not envision spending their golden years struggling to survive in a hostile environment.

Left Behind In Rosedale is a book that explores in depth their plight. The work of a university sociologist, it is surprisingly free of the usual neo-Marxist tropes that emanate from academia. It depicts honestly the plight of those elderly whites. The book focuses on the neighborhood of Rosedale, part of the Fort Worth, Texas metropolitan area. It is typical of many neighborhoods across the country that experienced demographic change as blacks moved in and whites moved out.

The author conducted in 1983 survey findings that clarified the type and number of crimes directed toward Rosedale’s white elderly. Through the surveys, it was possible to compare rates of victimization among Rosedale’s white, senior citizens living in other neighborhoods within the metropolitan area, and those who had experienced theft or robberies in Fort Worth as a whole. Five types of criminal activities appear in Table 1: (1) theft or destruction of outside equipment or furniture, (2) theft of a car or car parts, (3) attempted home break-ins, (4) actual home break-ins, and (5) street thefts and muggings. The survey findings clearly indicated that the elderly of Rosedale were victimized at rates several times higher than other senior citizens or citywide residents generally. It should also be noted that the vast majority of the crimes in the survey findings were committed by young black males.

Author-generated using book data

The survey, although useful, does not reveal the subjective dimension of criminal victimization. For that, the author conducted field interviews which provided a much better understanding of the emotional and physiological consequences produced by victimization. Many of the elderly women trembled or cried when they spoke about crime. Many asked for help that neither the author nor members of his research team could extend to them. The author reveals that the field research and interviews dealing with the criminal victimization of Rosedale’s elderly were exhausting and emotionally draining.

Their stories reveal how they were prisoners in their own home with bars on the windows and reinforced doors and locks to protect against break-ins. They tell of being afraid to go outside after dark and being assaulted and robbed by black youths during the day while going to the local market. Some stories are much more harrowing, describing sexual violence and rape.

The stories that the elderly women of Rosedale related to the author were not foreign to my ears—around the same time in the late ‘70s, my parents dealt with a similar family crisis. My grandmother, who was living alone in a changing neighborhood after my grandfather died, had her home broken into while she slept by neighborhood black youths. They wantonly wrecked a lot of her possessions and destroyed what peace of mind she possessed. Surprisingly, because of her attachment to her home, she did not want to leave, and it took a lot of convincing by my mother to get her to move out of her home and in with my parents in a distant town with which she had little familiarity.

I know my story and those of the elderly white women of Rosedale are not unique. The saga played out in thousands of places across the nation during that period. When Michele Obama in her glib manner states, “I want to remind white folks that y’all were running from us. And you’re still running,” she lies about why white people were fleeing. White flight was not an irrational act. Often it was a story that took the form of “enough is enough” after a gunpoint robbery, home invasion, or similar last-straw outrage. A story in which Michelle’s white neighbors simply said, “Who wants to get used to living like that?”

Flights at Reagan National Airport to stop after noon on July 4

If you have plans to fly in the D.C. area this summer, check if America 250 events affect your plans.

No flights are scheduled at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) after noon on July 4, airport officials announced Tuesday. Flights for part of July 3 and on a list of dates in June, July and August also may be affected.

“Ticketed passengers on flights at Reagan National Airport (DCA) this summer are advised to closely monitor the status of their flights for adjustments during America 250 celebrations in Washington, D.C. Many events will include downtown flyovers or other aerial displays such as fireworks or parachute jumps, which will affect flights periodically at Reagan National,” the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority said in a statement.

They listed these major events that may affect flights in and out of DCA:

  • June 24-25: Great American State Fair opening
  • June 28: Military Appreciation Day
  • July 3-4: Independence Day rehearsals and celebrations
  • July 10: Great American State Fair closeout flyover and parachute jump
  • Aug. 22-23: DC Grand Prix

Flight schedules may be adjusted to avoid “pre-planned airspace closures or “delayed by temporary holds as coordinated through air traffic control communications,” they said.

On July 3, no DCA flights will be scheduled for “several hours in the early afternoon,” officials said.

Passengers are advised to double-check flight times and check in with their airline.

'Iranian reformist likens critics of Araghchi to fleeing thief'

Iranian reformist figure Mohammad Sohofi pushed back against attacks on Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, saying that some of those accusing him of being a "mole" or traitor were themselves responsible for harming the country.

In a post on X, Sohofi invoked a Persian proverb about a thief who joins the crowd shouting "thief, thief" while fleeing pursuit.

"Some individuals who are infiltrators and traitors to the country whose identities have now been exposed are attempting to deflect blame by accusing Araghchi of being an infiltrator and calling for his execution," Sohofi said.
