US intel said to assess Iran could block Hormuz again

 United States intelligence agencies have assessed that Iran can close the Strait of Hormuz at any time from now on, three sources briefed on the matter told CNN on Tuesday.

The assessment indicates that Tehran has acquired a new and powerful ability to impact the global economy during the latest war against the US and Israel. "We have now handed Iran de facto control over the strait - a weapon more powerful than any nuke," one of the sources said.

According to the report, Iran has also learned that it can capitalize on targeted attacks against the energy infrastructure of the Arab states in the Persian Gulf, after having done so with great effectiveness during the war.
