The shares of Space Exploration Technologies Corp., better known as SpaceX, soared by 17% on Tuesday after the company revealed that it had raised approximately $85.7 billion in its record-breaking initial public offering (IPO) after the issuance of all shares closed on June 15, 2026.
Meanwhile, Elon Musk's space firm briefly overtook Microsoft Corporation to become the world's fourth-most valuable business based on its market capitalization. SpaceX's market cap reached $2.945 trillion, while Microsoft's was estimated at $2.93 trillion.
SpaceX's shares surged by 17% at 10:03 am ET to $225.23.
