Space Exploration Technologies Corp., better known as SpaceX, surpassed Amazon.com Inc. on Tuesday as the world's fifth-most valuable company in terms of market capitalization.
According to the Companies Market Cap website calculator, SpaceX's market cap reached $2.721 trillion, leaving Amazon with $2.662 trillion behind. Nvidia Corporation, Alphabet Inc., Apple Inc., and Microsoft Corporation remained in that order in the top four.
SpaceX's shares soared by 10.1% at 9:31 am ET to $211.76. The day before, Elon Musk's space company announced that it had raised approximately $85.7 billion in its record-breaking initial public offering (IPO) after the issuance of all shares closed on June 15, 2026.
