Russian Direct Investment Fund CEO and top diplomat Kirill Dmitriev said on Friday that the European Union and Ukraine are interfering in Hungary's elections.
"Hungary is fighting for its people as the EU and Ukraine interfere in Hungarian elections," Dmitriev wrote on X.
His remarks follow comments from Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto, who said on social media that Hungary is blocking a proposed €90 billion EU loan for Ukraine until oil transit via the Druzhba pipeline restarts, accusing Kiev of "blackmail" and of breaching the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement by halting supplies.
