The United States Department of Defense (DoD) accepted OpenAI's proposed safety limits for using its artificial intelligence tools in classified settings, Axios reported, citing a person familiar with the discussions.
The person said the two sides have not yet signed a deal.
The news comes after US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced that the Pentagon officially designated OpenAI's rival Anthropic a "supply chain risk to national security."
