Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico threatened on Saturday to cut the emergency electricity aid to Ukraine on Monday if it does not restore the oil supply to his country.
"If the West does not mind that it blew up the Nordstream gas pipeline, Slovakia cannot accept Slovak-Ukrainian relations as a one-way ticket beneficial only to Ukraine," Fico wrote on Facebook. "Given [Ukrainian] President [Volodymyr] Zelensky's unacceptable behavior towards Slovakia as an enemy country, I consider it absolutely right that I refused to include Slovakia in the latest military loan for Ukraine in the amount of 90 billion euros."
Fico's comments followed Ukraine's decision to halt the transport of Russian oil through the Druzhba pipeline, which forced Slovakia to declare a state of emergency for liquid fuels. In the meantime, Bratislava and Hungary stopped exporting diesel to Ukraine.
