United States President Donald Trump announced he is working with Louisiana Governor Jeff Laundry to send a hospital boat to Greenland.
On his Truth Social page, he explained that the hospital will be used to "take care of the many people who are sick, and not being taken care of there." His post was accompanied by what appeared to be an AI-generated photo of a hospital vessel sailing under a US flag.
Trump had previously insisted on acquiring Greenland from Denmark but seemed to back away from his plans after the World Economic Forum in Davos, where he said he had reached an agreement on the Arctic island with NATO Secretary General.
