Takaichi: Japan is open to dialogue with China

 Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi said on Thursday that her country has "consistently" been open to having a dialogue with China.

"Japan has been consistently open to dialogue with China. And also, we have been addressing our relations with China in a calm manner. And also, speaking of the US-China relationship, my sincere hope is that the relationship will be something conducive to regional security, and also ensuring the global supply chain in the world," Takaichi said during a meeting with United States President Donald Trump.

The Japanese prime minister also noted that the security situation in the Indo-Pacific region is becoming "severe" and said that Trump is the "only one" who can achieve peace across the world.
