'EU open to easing Iran sanctions if deal reached, Germany’s Merz says'

 

The European Union is willing to gradually ease sanctions on Iran if a comprehensive agreement is reached, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said.

“The easing of sanctions can be part of a process,” Merz said at an EU summit, adding it could help advance negotiations and support a lasting ceasefire.
