UK raises 'terror threat level' to 'severe'

 The United Kingdom Joint Terrorism Analysis Center (JTAC) raised the "terror threat level" in the country from "substantial" to "severe" on Thursday, following the stabbing incident that took place in north London.

"[This] means a terrorist attack is considered highly likely. I know this will be a source of concern to many, particularly amongst our Jewish community, who have suffered so much ... As the threat level rises, I urge everyone to be vigilant, as they go about their daily lives, and report any concerns they have to the police," UK Secretary of State for the Home Department Shabana Mahmood shared in a statement.

"Severe" level is the fourth highest of five levels for national threats in the UK, with some explanations claiming that a potential attack might be likely in the next six months.
