'Khamenei: Navy ready to inflict new bitter defeats'

 Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei said in a message marking the anniversary of the Iranian army on Saturday that the army has exposed the "weakness and humiliation" of the United States and Israel to the world and that the Iranian navy is "ready to inflict new bitter defeats on its enemies."

"The Army was soon able to create an epic by confronting the sinister schemes of the US, the descendants of the Pahlavi tyrant, and the separatists who wished for a divided Iran," Khamenei said, referring to Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the last shah of Iran before the Islamic Revolution of 1979.
