Israel believes Iran moved advanced centrifuges and part of its stockpile of highly enriched uranium to a fortified underground facility south of Tehran after the 12-day war last June, CNN reported Tuesday, citing an Israeli source familiar with the matter.
The report said Israeli intelligence had been monitoring the site, known as Pickaxe Mountain, for months or more because it was one of Iran’s key nuclear facilities. Construction and activity at the site increased after the 12-day war between Israel and Iran last June, CNN cited the unnamed Israeli source as saying.
