France's National Anti-Terrorist Prosecutor's Office (PNAT) said on Saturday that six men have been detained and are set to face charges on suspicion that they were involved in an alleged "Islamist" plot to carry out an attack on a synagogue in the Paris suburb of Sarcelles earlier this month.
The men are "suspected of having participated in transporting the vehicle discovered on July 11, 2026, in Sarcelles" or "having participated in supplying or delivering the weapons" found in the vehicle. The prosecutors noted they are continuing the investigation to identify people who "commissioned the delivery of the Toyota vehicle." The identities of the suspects have not been revealed.
On July 12, around 300 people were evacuated from a neighborhood in Sarcelles after the vehicle with "a military-grade weapon" was discovered at the site.
