Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will travel to Pakistan for an official visit on August 7, Russian news outlet Ria Novosti reported on Wednesday. He was invited by Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar earlier this week.
Araghchi is expected to meet with Dar, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Defense Forces Asim Munir. The focus of the discussions will likely be a continuation of diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict between Iran and the United States, including a return to the memorandum of understanding signed in Pakistan's capital Islamabad in June.
