SpaceX announced on Tuesday that it is partnering with Nvidia to design its Starmind AI1 satellite compute payload.
"Each of the Starmind satellites will include Nvidia Rubin GPUs and Vera CPUs for datacenter-class space compute," the rocket maker said.
Starmind is SpaceX's planned orbital AI computing satellite constellation designed to function as distributed data centers in space. It should bypass Earth's power, water, and land limits by using constant solar energy and the vacuum of space for cooling.
