Apollo said to seek larger financings with new AI head

Apollo Global Management Inc. appointed one its partners, Reed Rayman, as the head of its chip-focused artificial intelligence sector in order to seek out more "big, complex AI infrastructure financings," the Information reported on Wednesday, citing two people familiar with the matter.

According to the report, the company intends to pursue more digital infrastructure deals and connect them with Apollo's investment teams, with Rayman focused on building relationships that will help the firm lead larger financings.

Two months ago, the private equity firm announced that Apollo-managed funds and affiliates would lead an initial $35 billion financing solution for Broadcom's new AI XPV Platform, alongside Blackstone and a group of leading global banks.
