United States Central Command (CENTCOM) said the southern route through the Strait of Hormuz remains open to commercial shipping, with vessels continuing to cross the waterway.
CENTCOM also said US forces helped over 1,000 commercial vessels pass through the strait over the past three months. It said the assistance continued amid what it called "unwarranted Iranian aggression," adding that "these transits continue today."
