Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir said on Tuesday that the pursuit of "terrorists" involved in an attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, will continue despite the US-led Board of Peace's calls to limit strikes in Gaza to "immediate threats."
"Anyone who took part in the massacre will live under pursuit until they are eliminated," Zamir stressed during a visit to the Gaza Strip. "This is a high-priority mission to which the [Southern] Command and the entire IDF are committed," he added.
The IDF chief emphasized that the military will not allow Israel's "enemies along the borders, with an emphasis on Gaza and Lebanon, to rebuild their strength," referring to Hamas in Gaza and Iran-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon.
