Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that relations between Russia and China "are developing dynamically," as he met Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.
"At this stage, our relations of comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction are developing dynamically in all areas based on the principles of equality, mutual support on key issues, mutual understanding, and consideration of each other's interests," Putin said.
He added that mutual investment is growing and cooperation in energy is deepening. "Over the past three years, trade turnover has consistently exceeded $200 billion, and by 2025, it will reach nearly $240 billion, creating a solid foundation for bilateral cooperation. We predict a new record for this year," Putin stated. He also described his recent meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Bishkek as "exceptionally useful, informative, and very warm."
