Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev stated on Wednesday that Germany "deserves" to be hit with "direct strikes" targeting the country's military equipment production infrastructure supplying Ukraine.
"Berlin has accused Russia of an unproven attack on Leipzig Airport. Given the neo-Nazi, fiercely Russophobic stance of Germany's current leadership, this fabricated act of sabotage is the mildest possible punishment for their sins," Medvedev wrote on Telegram.
The Russian official also addressed recent threats made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, calling him a "mad clown," and adding that Russian President Vladimir Putin already classified the threats as "an act of state terrorism" by Ukraine. "One does not negotiate with terrorists; one responds to their actions with retaliatory measures," he warned.
