Israeli President Isaac Herzog told the press on Thursday that he will unveil who he will offer a mandate to form a government on Sunday.
Previously, Herzog concluded his consultations with the parties that were elected to the Knesset in the latest legislative election. According to the national broadcaster Kan, 67 new members of the parliament recommended Yashar party leader Gadi Eisenkot, and 46 recommended Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Earlier, it was reported that Herzog could ask Eisenkot to form a government as early as next week.
