United States President Donald Trump's administration has discussed paying Greenlanders between $10,000 and $100,000 per person in an effort to convince them to support the US plans to acquire the island, media reported on Thursday.
According to sources cited by Reuters, the administration has still not reached a final agreement on a figure it would potentially offer or the logistics of processing the payments.
Earlier this week, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio ruled out using military force to take the island, stressing Washington would instead want to purchase the territory, which is currently a Danish overseas territory.
