United States Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff and President Donald Trump's adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner met with Russian Direct Investment Fund CEO and President Vladimir Putin's envoy Kirill Dmitriev in Paris to discuss the Ukraine peace plan, Axios reported on Thursday, citing a source briefed on the matter.
According to the report, the meeting took place on Wednesday following Witkof and Kushner's negotiations with European leaders and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on security guarantees and territorial issues.
'The outlet suggested that the US representatives seek a clear response from Putin after the US and Ukraine agreed on a peace proposal.'
