White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers told Fox News Digital on Wednesday that on March 4, representatives from major United States tech companies will be heading to the White House to "formally sign the Rate Payer Protection Pledge."
"Under this bold initiative, these massive companies will build, bring, or buy their own power supply for new AI data centers, ensuring that Americans' electricity bills will not increase as demand grows," she said, adding that while US President Donald Trump wants to ensure the country's AI dominance, he also insists on keeping costs low for citizens.
The media outlet revealed that among the firms to be present at the event are Amazon.com Inc, Google LLC, Meta Platforms Inc, Microsoft Corporation, xAI, Oracle Corporation, and OpenAI Inc.
