Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian told his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on a Friday call that Tehran has "no problem" with Islamic nations but will target Arab states if their territory is used by the US and Israel to violate Iranian sovereignty, media reported, quoting governmental sources.
"Iran has absolutely no problem with Islamic countries, and they are our dear brothers … However, given that the US and Israel are exploiting their territory and airspace to violate Iran's national sovereignty and territorial integrity and commit crimes against the Iranian people, we will, within the framework of our legitimate right to self-defense, target those bases," Pezeshkian said.
Meanwhile, Egypt's presidency firmly rejected Iran targeting Gulf states, Jordan, and Iraq, emphasizing those nations did not support the war and contributed to de-escalation.
