Qatari minister insists security situation is 'stable'

 Qatar's Interior Minister Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad said on Friday the country's security situation remains stable despite the ongoing strikes.

Sheikh Khalifa told Qatar Television that contingency plans remain in place to deal with the Iranian threat, going on to confirm that authorities responded to reports of missile fragments at more than 600 sites across the Gulf country.

The minister also sought to reassure residents about supplies, stating Qatar holds strategic water reserves sufficient for several months and food stocks that could last about 18 months.
