China expresses worries over seized Iranian ship

 Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said at a press briefing on Monday that Beijing is concerned over the latest news that the United States seized an Iranian-flagged cargo ship, calling it a "forced interception."

"We hope relevant parties will act responsibly, abide by the ceasefire agreement, avoid provoking conflicts and exacerbating tensions, and create the necessary conditions for the resumption of normal navigation in the Strait of Hormuz," the spokesperson commented.

Following Washington's actions, the Iranian army was reported to have launched an attack against US ships.
