Starmer: London synagogue attack 'abhorrent'

 United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer condemned on Sunday the attempted arson attack on a synagogue in northwest London, calling it "abhorrent" and vowing action.

"This is abhorrent and it will not be tolerated. Attacks on our Jewish community are attacks on Britain," Starmer said, adding authorities are "increasing visible policing" and that those responsible "will be found and brought to justice."

Police are investigating the incident at the Kenton United Synagogue as an antisemitic hate crime, after officers found "smoke inside a room" and "evidence that a bottle with some sort of accelerant had been thrown through the window," in the second such attack in the area in as many days.
