National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and its Russian counterpart, Roscosmos, have agreed to continue their joint operation of flights to the International Space Station (ISS), Russian state media reported on Tuesday.
"We have agreed on three basic principles," announced Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Bakanov in a press conference, adding, "first among these is a continuation of our joint work on the ISS until 2030".
Roscosmos and NASA established an initial agreement on joint flights to the ISS in 2022, and it has since been renewed three times. As part of Tuesday's announced renewal, flights involving integrated crews on Russian and American spacecraft will also continue uninterrupted for the next four years.
