Qiagen N.V. (NYSE:QGEN) announced Monday that Jonathan M. Pratt will become chief executive officer on September 1, 2026, as the molecular testing company continues discussions with potential buyers.
Pratt brings over 25 years of leadership experience in life sciences and laboratory technologies. He most recently served as president and CEO of Filtration Group, leading the business through its sale to Parker-Hannifin Corporation in August 2026.
Qiagen is currently in discussions about a potential takeover and has opened a data room for suitors to conduct due diligence, according to a report from Bloomberg News today, citing sources. EQT AB and KKR & Co. are among firms exploring offers for the company.
The company reaffirmed its outlook for the third quarter and full-year 2026. The supervisory board continues to evaluate opportunities with independent financial and legal advisors as part of its strategic review.
