Otonomy, Mission Pharmacal sign co-promotion agreement


Otonomy announced the signing of a co-promotion agreement with Mission Pharmacal Company that provides Mission with an exclusive right to promote OTIPRIO for acute otitis externa in pediatrician and primary care physician offices as well as urgent care clinics in the United States. Financial terms for the multi-year agreement were not disclosed; however, Otonomy will receive an annual co-promotion fee and reimbursement of a proportion of product support expenses, and retain a share of gross profits from the sale of OTIPRIO to Mission’s accounts. Otonomy retains all commercial rights for other customer segments for AOE and use of OTIPRIO in all other indications including ongoing sales for use during pediatric ear tube surgery.

Tetraphase should be bought into August 28 PDUFA, says H.C. Wainwright


H.C. Wainwright analyst Ed Arce recommends buying shares of Tetraphase Pharmaceuticals heading into the August 28 FDA action date for the company’s lead drug, intravenous Xerava, a possible treatment of complicated intra-abdominal infections. The analyst views the lack of an FDA panel meeting, combined with the drug’s six-month priority review, as a positive signal on approvability. He sees a favorable risk/reward scenario ahead of Xerava’s “likely approval” and reiterates a Buy rating on Tetraphase with a $6 price target.

Bluebird Bio gains on collaboration with Regeneron


In pre-market trading the shares of Bluebird Bio (BLUE) were last up 5.6% to $158.40 after announcing a collaboration with Regeneron Pharmaceuticals (REGN) in the pursuit of immune cell therapies for cancer treatment.
