Trump-hating Biden can now take pointers on dealing with illegal immigration from the world's hellholes

 By Monica Showalter

Joe Biden has no idea and no plan to stop the unlimited illegal immigation that is now bankrupting America's blue cities and wreaking havoc on the turning-red border cities.

Destroying President Trump's sensible and effective policies for disincentivizing illegal migration, he's busing and flying in all comers in their millions, and besides the humongous cost, now faces the prospect of having imported a terrorism problem.

The latest example: This charmer here in Houston, who had been accepted as an asylum applicant under Joe's take-'em-all asylum policies, got handed a work permit, and then got busy planning terror attacks.

Biden's out of ideas, and the only one he's willing to entertain from Congress is how to speed along the "processing time" for illegal migrants into the U.S. under his 'catch and release policies, making the conveyor belt moving faster.

It won't work. But since he won't listen to Trump, it's not like there aren't other places that haven't figured out how to solve this problem. Maybe he take their examples as his models to imitate:

Start with Pakistan, a nation you wouldn't expect to have illegal immigrants in -- unless your crossover country was Taliban-led Afghanistan:

According to The Guardian:

Pakistan has begun arresting and deporting Afghan refugees who missed Wednesday morning’s deadline for them to leave, a government minister has announced. At least 200,000 people have already returned to Afghanistan voluntarily, said Pakistan’s acting interior minister, Sarfraz Bugti.

The crackdown on unregistered foreigners, part of Pakistan’s new anti-immigrant policy, affects some 2 million Afghans thought to be in Pakistan without documentation.

Bugti said: “There will be no compromise against illegal refugees. We have the data on who are staying illegally in Pakistan. We are going door to door, and we have done geofencing. We will detain and deport them. We have arrested dozens across the country so far, including in the capital.”

Afghans would be put in buses, trucks or whatever was available to transport them to the border, said Bugti, and authorities would be tracking them to ensure they did not return.

The total number expected to be deported, according to Foreign Policy is 1.7 million illegally present Afghan migrants. The Guardian wrings its hands that at least some of the migrants might be fleeing Taliban persecution. It's hard to say, given that the Taliban persecutes the entire country, but it's also just as likely that they are Taliban supporters, as has been seen in Europe, with pro-Hamas protestors flying the Taliban flag at anti-Semitic demonstrations.

Are these the people who were granted asylum in Europe because they were supposedly escaping persecution by the Taliban? That was what they claimed, but it's funny how they wave its flag. The Pakistanis said it was the West's job to take in refugees fleeing persecution from the Taliban. We all know how well that went with Joe Biden leading the Afghanistan pullout. It's dubious Biden wants to even bring in the translators, let alone the persecuted, He just chooses to let them enter unvetted and illegally, same as happened with the pullout.

That Pakistan solution, though is contagious. Another godawful place, Iran, has now launched mass deportations of its own.

Like Pakistan, even the loathesome mullahs of Iran have seen the destabilization the migrants cause and can discern that the migrants are economic, taking away local jobs. The locals are attacking them with sticks, which is pretty crummy. But the illegal migrants are leaving.

Iran, too, is a horrible place to be ... unless you come from Afghanistan.

But with Joe Biden around, not to worry. Fewer illegal migrants for Iran and Pakistan means more migrants for Joe, who still hasn't figured out how to handle the border surge, and judges every asylum claim a valid asylum claim, meaning, we could get all seven million.

Meanwhile, in Haiti, another less-than-lovely place to live, the authorities there have figured out that migrants going out are causing other problems, which are problems for the homeland.

According to the Miami Herald:

The Haitian government suspended all flights to Nicaragua on Monday amid rising concerns about a massive migration wave that has led to tens of thousands of Haitians using the Central American country as a springboard to the United States, according to a bulletin sent to the aviation community shared with the Miami Herald.

The Haiti-Nicaragua flights began in August and have grown from seven flights a day to as many as 15 daily charters. There are also charter flights from the neighboring Dominican Republic and the Turks and Caicos carrying Haitians, who pay as much as $4,000 per seat for the trip.

On Monday there had been at least five flights scheduled from Port-au-Prince to Managua’s Augusto Cesar Sandino International Airport. A Miami Herald reporter tallied more than 1,000 passengers waiting in an overflowing parking lot across from the departure terminal of the Toussaint Louverture International Airport in Haiti waiting to be called to board flights.

Seems they were losing too many people. Over in Nicaragua, dictator Daniel Ortega had a sleazy little moneymaking operation going on to fly migrants to the states through Nicaragua, visa-free, charging them $3,000 or $4,000 up front for charter flights, knowing that they could easily head onward to the states without having to cross the dirty, dangerous Darien gap in Panama.  Ortega knew they wouldn't stay in Nicaragua, the hellhole he ran, not when the U.S. was within reach and Joe letting in all comers. Ortega not only made money from it, he launched "migrant warfare" against the states, sending tens of thousands of Haitian migrants into the U.S. illegally as leverage to pressure Joe Biden to drop sanctions on his hideous regime. He also sent plenty of his own nationals. Joe, of course, was clueless as to how to deal with the little dictator, as Ronald Reagan called him, quite unlike President Reagan, or for that matter, Haiti's leaders, who knew their nationals were being used.

Now Haiti has shut the scam down, very quietly, just shutting it down and saying nothing, something Joe could learn from, too, given that he prefers gaslighting to action.

The Haitian leaders supported the Americas consensus that Joe's migrant policies were destabilizing home as well as transit countries, never mind the U.S.

The Miami Herald described what the sentiment was this way, emphasis added:

At the Mexico migration talks, regional leaders complained about a Biden administration humanitarian-parole program rolled out in Janaury that allows entry into the U.S. to nationals from Cuba, Venezuela, Haiti and Nicaragua who meet certain criteria.

In a declaration signed by the leaders attending the Mexican summit, the leaders alleged that the program is encouraging irregular migration because it favor the four countries while leaving other nationalities vulnerable to deportation.

Obviously a lot of countries out there, including presumably very wretched ones, know all about the destabilization illegal immigration causes, but also how to deal with it -- which is decisively. Since Joe Biden won't pay attention to Trump, whose policies were effective, maybe he can take his lessons from Pakistan, Iran or Haiti. Quite unlike Joe, the third world shows how it's done.

Gen Z’s top news source being ‘actively manipulated by our enemy’

As China increasingly grows as a U.S. adversary versus ally, one tech expert sounded a “five-alarm fire” about how Chinese-owned TikTok is indoctrinating America’s youngest generations.

“The information environment is being actively manipulated by our enemy. That is a problem,” the Heritage Foundation tech policy center director Kara Frederick said on “The Bottom Line” Wednesday. “It is a five-alarm fire and we don’t even know what that’s going to look like 10 years from now when children who are getting all of this information, they’re internalizing it, they’re believing that it’s true.”

“Then they’re going into our institutions, they’re graduating from college and becoming the judges, the lawyers of the next generation –  massive issue,” she stressed. “It needs to be banned.”

Last year during a Fortune conference discussion, Google executive Prabhakar Raghavan talked about the evolution of the search engine and noted how almost 40% of the youngest generation are going to TikTok instead of Google for content.

“You have estimates this year saying over half of Gen Z uses TikTok search as their No. 1 search engine. So they’re not just going on after school and just kind of mindlessly scrolling. No, they’re actually searching for terms: Gaza, Israel and getting a flood of CCP-influenced propaganda in front of their eyeballs almost constantly, all day, every day. Massive problem [as a] source of news for Gen Z,” Frederick said.

However, a TikTok spokesperson told FOX News Digital on Thursday that there is “no evidence to support these claims.”

“The content on TikTok, which is not available in China, is generated by our community and is not influenced by any government,” the spokesperson said.

Montana became the first state this year to ban new downloads of the video-sharing app based on fears over Chinese misinformation or influence.

In response, the Chinese company that owns TikTok, ByteDance, claimed in a lawsuit that Montana’s ban “infringes on the First Amendment rights of the people of Montana by unlawfully banning TikTok, a platform that empowers hundreds of thousands of people across the state.” The legal challenge is currently moving through the court system.

“TikTok is subject to the laws and policies of the People’s Republic of China. So they have to do what the CCP, the Chinese Communist Party, tells them to do. And what I think is really interesting here that’s often missed is Gen Z in particular is using TikTok as a source of news,” Frederick noted.

“And we know from Forbes reporting that they manually, artificially handpick certain accounts and stories to go viral,” the tech expert added. “So that’s massively problematic when you have CCP-influenced employees at ByteDance and TikTok saying, ‘Hmm, I want this user to go viral. I want this video to get more hits. I want this hashtag to be at the top of everyone’s search.’”

Providing an update regarding the ongoing Montana litigation, the TikTok spokesperson told Digital: “We believe the Montana ban is unconstitutional and look forward to the court’s decision.”

Frederick called for congressional legislation that would provide oversight or regulations on TikTok, but expressed that other states should follow Montana’s lead until then.

“Eighteen state attorneys general, including Virginia, where I live, they wrote an amicus brief in support of this Montana ban,” she said. “Let’s go. Let’s let these labs of democracies go if Congress is not going to act.”

Harris’ stepdaughter Ella Emhoff is promoting an $8M Gaza fundraising campaign

The stepdaughter of Vice President Harris is publicly raising money for Gaza, The Post has learned.

Ella Emhoff, 24 — whose father, First Gentleman Doug Emhoff, is Jewish — affixed a fundraising drive “supporting urgent relief for Gaza’s children” on her personal Instagram account.

It makes no mention of the scores of Israeli children murdered among the 1,400 innocent Israelis killed by Hamas terrorists on Oct. 7.

Her promotion puts the funding appeal in front of her 315,000 Instagram followers.

The fundraiser, which has netted more than $7.8 million so far, is being operated by the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund, a nonprofit based in Kent, Ohio, which raked in more than $21 million in 2021, according to ProPublica.

It’s unclear how much, if anything, Ella Emhoff has personally donated to the cause.

“It’s of tremendous concern and I find it abhorrent,” said Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ). “To be honest with you, I am kind of stunned by it. It’s disturbing to the maximum degree.”

Van Drew, a member of the House Homeland Security Committee, said it was almost certain that Hamas would be able to siphon any humanitarian cash that entered Gaza.

Ella Emhoff has pointedly insisted to reporters that she does not consider herself Jewish.

“Ella is not Jewish,” a rep for the second daughter insisted to The Forward in 2021. “It’s not something she grew up with. Ella truly has no qualms with the faith, but she does not want to speak on behalf of Judaism, as she does not celebrate herself.”

A donation page soliciting cash for “Urgent Relief for Gaza’s Children” appears on Emhoff’s Instagram page.

Emhoff — whose biological mom is film producer Kerstin Emhoff — has styled herself as a model and making boobs-out appearances at New York Fashion Week.

She is close with her stepmother, who congratulated her in an X posting after Emhoff’s graduation from Parsons in 2021.

“Keep dreaming with ambition and there is nothing you cannot achieve,” Harris wrote.

Emhoff is close to her stepmom — Vice President Kamala Harris.

Last month President Biden announced that he would send $100 million in “humanitarian assistance” to the Palestinians — prompting swift backlash from Republicans seeking to challenge him in the 2024 presidential contest.

Former President Donald Trump, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum have all denounced the idea.

Representatives for Emhoff did not respond to request for comment from The Post

Marchers descend upon WH chanting 'Allahu akbar,' 'F–k Joe Biden' as they demand ceasefire

Tens of thousands of pro-Palestinian protesters massed in Washington, DC, Saturday afternoon before descending upon the White House to chant, “Allahu akbar” and “F–k Joe Biden” as they accused the president of genocide and demanded a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

“From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” the crowd dotted with Palestinian flags and signs cried at the start of the event, which drew attendees from across the country.

The chant – which is growing increasingly popular in the wake of Hamas’ deadly incursion into southern Israel last month and Israel’s subsequent retaliatory attacks on Gaza – is widely considered antisemitic because it implies the elimination of the State of Israel and its people.

Others chanted, “Long live the Intifada,” an Arabic word used to refer to Palestinian uprising, specifically to conflicts that ran from 1987 and 1993 and from 2000 to about 2005 that left thousands dead.

Unofficial reports estimate 300,000 showed up to the protest, but DC Police could not confirm, telling The Post it does not estimate crowd size.

One man was arrested for destruction of property around 5:30 p.m., according to DC cops. It is unclear what he was destroying.

As the protesters began marching down the roadways of DC, many stopped outside the White House to yell for Biden to call for a ceasefire. It is unclear if Biden was there.

Around 7:30 p.m., protesters were smearing red paint on the gates of the White House and chanting: “Allahu akbar,” “F–k Joe Biden,” a Post reporter observed

DC Police have been circling the White House via helicopter, according to an X user

The tens of thousands of protesters — including rapper Macklemore — could be seen for miles as their roarous chants filled the streets since around 1 p.m.

Earlier in the day, an Israeli supporter — who was seen walking the streets with the country’s flag around his shoulders — was politely escorted away by police, according to the X poster.

While the protest took shape in the nation’s capital, more than 1,000 pro-Palestinian demonstrators blocked traffic in Manhattan’s Herald Square, demanding a ceasefire, before the throng moved east to the United Nations, where the crowd swelled to 2,000, police sources told The Post.

There were no incidents or arrests before the crowd dispersed without incident or arrests around 7:30 p.m., the sources said.

Other protests around the world have broken out as well, including in London where at least 11 people were arrested by Metropolitan Police for various things, including holding signs threatening to burn down the House of Parliament.

In Washington, speakers from several organizations took the stage to encourage the crowd’s “righteous anger” in response to the deaths of around 9,000 Palestinians in Gaza since the Israeli airstrikes began following the horrific Oct. 7 attacks on Southern Israel.

Many of the speakers touched on the US role as Israel’s primary ally in the ongoing war against Hamas – including a $14.3 billion aid package passed by the House this week.

“Biden, Biden you can’t hide! We charge you with genocide!” one MC yelled into the microphone, drawing cheers from the attendees.

Several demonstrators who claimed to work for the Biden administration and members of Congress joined the protest, holding signs saying: “Congress your staff demand a ceasefire” and “Biden your staff demand a ceasefire.”

A spokesperson for the Chicago Chapter of the US Palestine Community Network said Biden was “dehumanizing” Palestinians.

“No business as usual as our elected officials support genocide,” she yelled into the microphone.

“Israel does not have the right to exist as a racist state.”

The speaker said Palestinians wanted to build a “secular” society “from the river to the sea” afterward.

“It is right to rebel! Israel can go to hell!” Marte White, who said he was from Community Movement Builders, a nationwide black activist group, yelled during his turn at the mic.

Palestinians have a right to fight “by any means necessary…and I do mean any means necessary!” White said, presumably referring to Hamas slaughtering and maiming 1,400 Israelis within a few hours on Oct. 7.

“Everyone should support the struggle against Zionism, and stand with the Palestinian people,” White concluded.

After White’s particularly fiery rhetoric, the MCs requested a moment of silence for the “martyrs” killed in Gaza over the last four weeks.

At that point, a white tarp was unfurled over part of the crowd in a silent call for peace.

The moment of silence was followed by Dr. Omar Suleiman referring to the Israeli government as “apartheid” as he touched on violence against Palestinian youth in Gaza, the West Bank, and beyond – including the six-year-old Chicago boy who was stabbed by his landlord.

“Know that when [people] say they ‘stand with Israel,’ they are saying they ‘stand with genocide,’” he said.

“This has been one of the hardest months in my lifetime – and I’m the post-Oslo [Accords] generation,” a speaker from the Palestinian Youth Movement said, referring to the 1993 pact brokered by the Clinton Administration.

“This has been one of the hardest months in history, for our people.”

The protestors also called for the liberation of Palestine.

“We have a deep conviction that Palestine will be free in our lifetime,” she insisted. “This is 75 years of justice deferred! We are demanding a stop to all [US] aid to the Zionist state of Israel!”

The crowd eventually grew so large that one portion of the group was asked to move over to allow another wave to join from around the corner.

The Palestinian national anthem was played over loudspeakers from the stage while the maneuvering took place.

Despite the frequent antisemitic tone from the speakers, one woman, Ahlam, from Maryland2Palestine, insisted that “righteous anger is not hate, it’s love.”

“We should be angry when it’s our money going to fund these entities,” she said of the US and corporations’ support of Israel’s efforts to defeat Hamas.

Ahlam called for a continued boycott of companies like Starbucks and McDonald’s that have expressed solidarity with Israel.

“We will not get our names written on Starbucks cups while Palestinian children are writing their names on their arms so that their bodies may be identified after an airstrike!” she cried.

Biden's Latest Grisly New Talking Point

by Connor O'Keefe via The Mises Institute,

As the long-hyped Ukrainian counteroffensive against Russia stalls and a new war in Gaza draws the world’s attention, American support for funding Kyiv’s war has waned. In an effort to reverse this, the Biden administration is changing its messaging. A Politico report from last week details how White House aides are now telling members of Congress to sell Americans the lie that continuing to send money and weapons to Ukraine is good for the economy.

President Joe Biden made this point himself when he introduced a $105 billion proposal to send military aid to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan:

We send Ukraine equipment sitting in our stockpiles. And when we use the money allocated by Congress, we use it to replenish our own stores, our own stockpiles, with new equipment. Equipment that defends America and is made in America. Patriot missiles for air defense batteries, made in Arizona. Artillery shells manufactured in 12 states across the country, in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Texas. And so much more.

With this new talking point, the Biden administration is echoing Senator Mitch McConnell, who has for months been saying that the war in Ukraine is an excellent deal because American companies get paid, the Russian regime is weakened, and only Ukrainians have to die.

Setting aside the morality or practicality of Biden and McConnell’s foreign policy ambitions, the argument that all this military spending is good for the American economy relies on one of the oldest, most pervasive economic fallacies in our political discourse—the broken window fallacy.

First outlined by French economist Frédéric Bastiat in his essay “That Which Is Seen and That Which Is Not Seen” and later expounded upon by economic journalist Henry Hazlitt in his book Economics in One Lesson, the broken window fallacy is the false belief that spending money on restoring things that have been destroyed can make an economy richer.

To make this point, Bastiat used the example of a broken shop window. After his careless son breaks a pane of glass, a shopkeeper is forced to hire a glazier to repair the damage. A group of bystanders reflect on the situation and question their impulse to condemn the boy. After all, they ask, “what would become of the glaziers if panes of glass were never broken?”

In Hazlitt’s telling, the bystanders point to all the economic activity that will come from the shopkeeper’s purchase of a new $50 windowpane. “The glazier will have $50 more to spend with other merchants, and these in turn will have $50 more to spend with still other merchants, and so ad infinitum.” That leads the crowd to the fallacious conclusion that because of all the resulting economic activity that his breaking of the window incited, the shopkeeper’s son should be considered a public benefactor.

The problem with this thinking, Bastiat and Hazlitt explain, is that it cites only the economic activity that can be seen to result from the broken window. What goes unseen is the cost—all the economic activity the shopkeeper would have instead spurred had he not been forced to buy a new window.

And because the shopkeeper would have preferred to spend the $50 elsewhere, the breaking of the window can only be considered a net loss. The glazier benefits from the shopkeeper’s loss, but the shopkeeper and therefore the overall economy are made poorer.

How does this relate to the Biden-McConnell talking point? After all, isn’t the destruction happening far away in Ukraine and Gaza?

It’s important not to get distracted by the act of destruction in Bastiat’s parable. The central element of his argument is not the broken window alone but the fact that the shopkeeper is forced to pay for a new one.

When the American people are forced to pay for weapons and equipment to replace those sent to Ukraine, they lose out on all the economic activity that they would have preferred to partake in, just like the shopkeeper.

And although, like the glazier, the five prime defense contractors benefit from the influx of tax dollars, the American people as a whole can only be made worse off. There is no growth, only a forced transfer of wealth to the weapons companies.

We have so far been forced to pay for over $44 billion worth of weaponry for Ukraine and $3.3 billion per year in military aid to Israel. Now another $60 billion for Ukraine and $10 billion for Israel have been proposed. This spending would increase the burden that has already been forced on the American people. If Biden, McConnell, and their supporters think Americans have an obligation to shoulder that cost, they should at least have the decency not to pretend it’s making us more prosperous.

New pathway to combat primary cause of cardiovascular disease

Research led by the University of Minnesota Medical School identified a new pathway to combat cardiovascular disease. The study was recently published in Nature Cardiovascular Research.

The research team's work identifies a molecule called TREM2 as a unique and therapeutically relevant pathway for the treatment of atherosclerosis—a common condition that develops when plaque builds up inside arteries—in preclinical models. Atherosclerosis is a primary cause of cardiovascular diseases, which are the number one cause of death and disability globally, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

"This is a highly impactful study that may inform future approaches to treat atherosclerosis," said Jesse Williams, Ph.D., an assistant professor at the U of M Medical School. "Current approaches almost exclusively target lowering LDL cholesterol, but we've known for decades that inflammation also contributes to atherosclerotic plaque build-up in the arteries. This study reveals a new pathway for the prevention of ."

Using  of atherosclerosis, the research team found that the disease was dramatically inhibited when the TREM2 gene was deleted in macrophages— that are integral to the immune system—during . They also found that targeted deletion of the TREM2 pathways was effective at reducing pre-existing atherosclerotic disease. This shows TREM2 as a potential immunotherapeutic target for future studies of cardiovascular disease risk.

This research will continue through a collaboration with Alector, Inc—a pharmaceutical company—to perform preclinical testing of TREM2-targeted antibodies to combat the progression of atherosclerosis.
