From college campuses to Afghanistan, we let Islamic terrorism rise again

Let’s all give a big shout-out to the “Globalize the intifada” crowd. You got your way! Congratulations. Hope it feels good.

For years, citizens of Israel have had maniac jihadists driving at them and trying to mow them down on their streets. But this got only cheers from the dolts on US college campuses and New York street protesters.

Then, just before Christmas, Germany again got a taste of this “intifada.” That was when a Saudi immigrant decided to plow a vehicle through a previously happy Christmas market. He killed five people and injured almost 200.

Then, on New Year’s, it was America’s turn again.

This time, the wishes of the students at Columbia and other college campuses arrived on the streets of New Orleans. A man carrying an ISIS flag drove a pickup through New Year’s revelers, killing 14 people and seriously injuring dozens more. The FBI is looking into his network of contacts.

There are several things to say about all this.

The first is that although many people hoped the threat of jihadist violence had diminished, it has not gone away. With jihadist groups running Afghanistan and Syria, among other countries, they are back in control of vast areas, as they were before 9/11.

After the 2001 attacks on this city, America vowed there should be no safe havens for terrorists. That included ungoverned or Islamist-governed spaces abroad where terrorists can be trained and then come to the United States and other Western countries and carry out attacks.

Such spaces were indeed reduced by US and allied forces in the years that followed. But they have come back. Today Afghanistan, Syria and Yemen (to name just three countries) are places where jihadists can train and learn battlefield tactics. Our intelligence agencies and military need to keep a close eye on these places and strike when needed.

The second thing is that it is obvious that a considerable campaign of recruitment inside the United States is still ongoing. The New Orleans terrorist appears to have been radicalized while in the United States. Whether that was online or via a network within the US will soon be learned.

But we should hope that the full force of the law — and law enforcement agencies — comes down on any and all such groupings.

Many in the intelligence community and the police are indeed working hard on such cases. But there is a societal torpor about this work.

If the New Year´s Eve attack had not been jihadist, but had — for instance — been some far-right white supremacist, every corner of our media and politics would be rightly lining up to demand answers. We would be asking who the people were who had put such a person up to such an attack. Who had helped him? Who had encouraged him? Who had said it was all right — in fact good — to do such a thing?

Even after almost a quarter of a century, it is still different with jihadists. There are too many people who think that there are “cultural sensitivities” that have to be respected. People talk about making sure that whole communities are — rightly — not smeared by association.

Yet if people are worried about guilt by association, why not cut that out by being very clear indeed about the sort of people, including Muslims, who do in fact encourage terrorism?

Take the most prominent Muslim group in the United States — the Council on American Islamic Relations. As well as being an unindicted co-conspirator in past terrorism cases, CAIR´s leadership is still full of people who are not anti-terror, but actually pro-terror.

It is quite an achievement if you think about it. To lead a Muslim American organization and praise terrorism, only to then complain that too many people conflate Muslims and terrorism. Ever think you´re part of the problem, guys?

Here is what CAIR´s current executive director, Nihad Awad, said after October 7. Using completely untrue and offensive language, Awad told an audience, “The people of Gaza only decided to break the siege, the walls of the concentration camp, on October 7. And yes, I was happy to see people breaking the siege.”

He went on to describe this “breaking of the siege” of Gaza, as though on that day Palestinians simply walked happily through their “ancestral” lands. He forgot to mention the more salient points — the raping, the beheading, the burning people alive and kidnapping of children. Just as worryingly, his large Muslim audience applauded his statements.

The fact that there isn´t more outrage about groups like CAIR and people like Awad is because they are not as rare as we might wish. And there is too little wider societal courage to call these people out.

It is the same here in New York. On New Year’s Day, as the bodies were still being collected on the streets of New Orleans, there was a pro-terrorist protest here in the heart of New York. Yes, you read that right. On New Year’s Day, hundreds of people gathered in Times Square. The protest was organized by the Palestinian Youth Movement, the Party for Socialism and Liberation and the People´s Forum. As well as participants screaming at Jews that they should “go back to Europe,” these protesters also chanted continuously for jihad.

“There is only one solution,” they chanted, “intifada revolution.”

How do these events even go ahead? And when will Americans rise up against the sort of people who support terrorism on our streets?

Again — if there was some vast rally of the KKK (hardly the most active group these days) where people praised a white supremacist hours after he had struck and told black Americans (for instance) to go to some other country, there would be zero tolerance for such people. Not only would the police step in, but I suspect incensed members of the public would do so as well.

So why are we so craven while people on the streets and campuses of this city actually call for terrorism while the citizens in New Orleans have just suffered it?

t is a question that needs answering. And there should be a vast reservoir of horror, rage and disgust aimed at Americans who celebrate terror, even as their fellow citizens are suffering it.

ISIS terrorist Jabbar had bomb-making station and Quran open to chilling passage at home

New Orleans ISIS terrorist Shamsud-Din Jabbar had a workbench in his bedroom that was set up for making bombs – while a Quran on his bookshelf was left open to a passage about martyrdom, exclusive photos obtained by The Post show.

Jabbar’s Texas home was filled with chemical residues and chemical bottles, while a list of items seized by FBI — left behind by investigators who raided his house on Wednesday — included a long list compounds used in bomb-making.

The last quote from the open page of the Quran reads, “they fight in His [Allah’s] cause, and slay and are slain; a promise binding…”

The home, a squalid trailer in North Houston, was in a state of disarray Thursday, with the front door kicked down, cabinets thrown open, and its cheap furniture tossed around the place after the raid by the feds.

A back bedroom was filled with children’s toys and bunk beds, while the main bedroom had a keffiyeh hanging in the closet.

Jabbar pledged allegiance to ISIS in videos posted minutes before he rammed a rented Ford F-150 Lightning truck down Bourbon Street and mowed down New Year’s revelers early Wednesday — killing 14 people and wounding dozens of others.

Palestinian Authority Bans Al Jazeera From West Bank For 'Stirring Strife'

The Palestinian Authority (PA) announced Wednesday the suspension of Al-Jazeera's operations in the Palestinian West Bank, citing alleged violations of Palestinian laws and 'interference'.

The major Qatar-based outlet is accused of "manipulation, interference in internal affairs, and dissemination of misleading and incendiary reports," according to a statement in the official Palestinian news agency WAFA.

The broadcaster has been further blamed for "reports that were deceiving and stirring strife" in the context of the Palestinian Authority's (PA) effort to crackdown on unauthorized armed groups.

For the past more than two weeks the PA has laid police siege to the Jenin refugee camp in an effort to root out the Jenin Brigade and associated factions. The PA has called the groups "outlaws" and "Iranian gangs" which are operating in the camp.

At least nine Palestinians have been killed as a result of the assault, including reportedly children. The PA had already banned Al Jazeera from reporting from inside Jenin amid the crisis.

Al Jazeera issued a Thursday statement saying it was "shocked by this decision" and is urging an immediate reversal of the temporary ban, for which there hasn't been a timetable. It has confirmed its coverage has moved to Jordan.

The outlet has charged the PA with "an attempt to hide the truth about events in the occupied territories, especially what is happening in Jenin and its camps.”

Months ago Israeli commandoes raided Al Jazeera's West Bank offices and seized equipment and ordered the bureau closed.

As early as October 2023, soon after the Oct.7 Hamas terror attacks, Israel moved to ban Al Jazeera from having offices in Tel Aviv or operating anywhere in Israel.

This came on the heels of Israeli government approving "emergency regulations" giving it the power to shut down foreign news agencies which are deemed to be acting against the "security of the state"

On Thursday a United Nations spokesperson urged the Palestinian Authority to reverse its decision to ban Al-Jazeera, in a rare moment.

Say Good-bye to the 'Islamophobia' Hoax

 by Roger Simon

In the wake of the tragedy in New Orleans and the bizarre Cybertruck explosion, not to mention many similar events in Europe almost daily, including various knifings and the German Christmas Markets attacks, and, needless to say, ongoing Iran-instigated carnage all over the Middle East with its latest manifestation being the insane behavior of the Houthis—as if Hamas and Hezbollah were not enough--it’s long been about time the USA and the world finally confront, be honest about, our Islam problem.

For a long time much of this confrontation has been allayed, sometimes completely dismissed, by accusations of something called “Islamophobia,” which is an odd misnomer since the fear of Islam is anything but irrational (the definition of a phobia).

The threat is very real and obviously unending. It’s not hard to tie together the Tesla Cybertruck that happened to blow up in front of the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas and had been rented on the same relatively-obscure app (Turo) with the, somehow also electric, pickup that killed 15, as of now, in New Orleans.

This religious-inspired evil mayhem has been going on for a long time, centuries really, but the sanitizing accusation of “Islamophobia” as a concept is apparently a French academic’s invention from 1910. It was brought into English usage by Columbia University professor cum Palestinian activist Edward Said in 1985 and took off to the extent that it has been raised every time the moment a Muslim terror act occurs in the decades since 9/11.

Its pervasive adoption by liberal elites is moral narcissism and virtue signaling at their purest and have prevented Western society from seeing its own destruction when its standing in front of them. Europe, as we knew it, is on the edge of extinction.

To be blunt and obvious, the actual source of this problem has nothing to do with a phobia of any sort and stems from a literal reading of key parts of the original texts of a warlike Seventh Century tribalist ideology. Its calls for “jihad” are often excused as “spiritual,” but in reality are anything but. That ideology has not been significantly reformed but is continually being refreshed and enhanced—everywhere on the globe, including right here in the USA.

We see that in a video of what children are being taught at a Islamic school in Philadelphia. They chant in unison: “We will Sacrifice Ourselves for Al-Aqsa; Will Chop off their Heads, Subject Them to Eternal Torture.” There’s more from these tykes if you care to click on it. (Warning: very creepy) Like the New Orleans terrorist, they’re all good “US citizens.”

Needless to say, these children are not taught there were two Jewish Temples standing where their beloved Al-Aqsa now sits, the first one, built by King Solomon roughly sixteen hundred years before the existence of Islam.

There’s nothing new about this evil indoctrination of the young. From a report in the Jerusalem Post.

“Over 200 US-government- approved textbooks used in hundreds of Palestinian UNRWA-sponsored schools are reportedly teaching Arab children between the first and ninth grades to kill Israelis and sacrifice themselves as martyrs to drive Jews out of the country.

“The violent narrative can be found in 240 books – ranging from civics to mathematics – in over 400 UNRWA schools in the West Bank, Gaza and east Jerusalem, said experts at a Tuesday conference for the Center for Near East Policy Research in downtown Jerusalem.”

That’s from 2016. The chances are it’s only gotten worse.

Meanwhile, October 7 has come to the USA and nobody’s home.

Some talking heads on television are surprised, or pretend to be, Shamsud-Din Jabbar, the ISIS-inspired New Orleans terrorist, had a substantial career in the U. S. military as if none of us remember Major Nidal Hasan who murdered 13 people at Fort Hood in 2009. At that time, the Army refused to call it terrorism, saying, suffused with some version of Islamophobia-think of their own, that the major was simply insane, although he was corresponding with one of the most important terror leaders abroad. Since then, the military has become increasingly “woke,” a truly frightening development considering the world situation.

Something must be done. Most realize, after having watched their press conference, that New Orleans authorities were remarkably unprepared for what happened. The woman from the FBI was, to be kind, not inspiring, ditto the New Orleans police chief. Unfortunately, the country has to learn how to deal with these attacks on a much more diligent level but whom do we rely on in the short run?

Many believe with good reason the current FBI spends more time tracking parents at school board meetings than it does on counter-terrorism.

How much do we need a rebuilt FBI now!

As I type this, Palestinian demonstrators march in New York, demanding a “global Intifada,” only hours after the hideous bloodshed. They undoubtedly will cry “Islamophobia” to any complaints about their untimely behavior. We can’t let them. We must obliterate that word and, more importantly, the concept forever. It won’t be easy because nations like Qatar have bought our universities and many businesses and will seek to prevent honest discussion of the problems of Islam. But we can do it.

And as we all know, there is hope. It’s only 19 days until President Trump finally takes office and the most incompetent administration of all time finally disappears.

Let us hope, under the circumstances, his cabinet appointments go quickly and people like Pam Biondi, Kash Patel, Tulsi Gabbard and Pete Hegseth will assume their posts rapidly. We will need them.

Let us hope too that at least a few Democrat senators realize the urgency of the situation and move things along in a patriotic, rather than an abysmally partisan and dangerous to the American people, manner.

2 Women and a Baby Struck and Injured by a Driver in Brooklyn

 2:45 PM EST on January 2, 2025

Pedestrians aren't even safe in this city when they have the light and they're in a crosswalk and they see a driver coming right at them and try to get out of his way.

A reckless driver rang out a deadly year for pedestrians by turning directly into two women pushing strollers as they crossed Nostrand Avenue at Kings Highway at around 2:45 p.m. on Dec. 31. The women, ages 62 and 56, plus a 1-year-old in a stroller, were injured.

Police offered no explanation for why the 69-year-old driver of a 2014 Toyota turned from eastbound Kings Highway into the women, but the driver remained on the scene and was not arrested.

The video — warning — is horrific to watch, as the women know what's coming, but can't get out of the way of the driver:

The video was originally posted by the website Betar, which claimed the driver was committing a hate crime against Jews, but the NYPD did not comment on that.

According to the Yeshiva World News, NYPD determined that there was "no criminal or malicious intent," and that the driver "was apologetic."

The crash occurred just a few hours before another crash in the same neighborhood, this one a fatal hit-and-run of a man who was allegedly panhandling at the intersection of Nostrand Avenue and Linden Boulevard.

Michael Foster, 64, was struck at that corner, but dragged by the Audi driver for a half-mile, cops said.

The year just ended — 2024 — was a very violent one for pedestrians in New York City.

According to the NYPD, 9,079 pedestrians were injured between Jan. 1 and Dec. 29 last year, or roughly 25 people every day. That's up from 8,656 pedestrian injured over the same period in 2023, an increase of nearly 5 percent. In the same period of the pandemic year 2020, 6,478 pedestrians were injured.

And 115 pedestrians were killed in 2024, up from 101 last year, according to the NYPD.
