US firms may help run Trump Accounts for children

The United States Treasury Department designated the Bank of New York Mellon Corporation (BNY) and Robinhood Markets Inc. to help set up and manage the "Trump Accounts," an investment tool for children under 18, the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday, citing the department.

An official confirmation is expected later today. The two firms are said to have teamed up to develop a Trump Accounts app and provide customer service. The app is said to be a custom product for the Treasury, bearing no BNY or Robinhood branding. "Our task is clear: to provide the next generation of Americans with a world-class, intuitive platform to jumpstart their financial future," Robinhood's CEO Vlad Tenev was quoted as saying.

The BNY's stock grew 0.97% following the report, going for $123.25 at 10:46 am ET, while Robinhood's stock increased 0.58%, trading for $69.30.

Israel says it killed IRGC commander in Tehran

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Monday it killed a senior Iranian commander in an airstrike in Tehran.

IDF wrote on X that the strike killed Asghar Bagheri, who led the Special Operations Unit 840 of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Force. "He advanced numerous efforts and was involved in attacks targeting Israeli and American individuals worldwide," the military said.

The statement added that Bagheri directed operations against Israeli soldiers along the Syrian-Israeli border using operatives linked to former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, and worked to transfer weapons into Israel. Earlier, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said Israel struck Iran's largest petrochemical facilities at Asaluyeh. The IDF also claimed that it carried out overnight strikes targeting aircraft, helicopters, and infrastructure at three Tehran airports.

Iran said to have sent US 10-point plan to end war

Iran has issued a 10-point response to a US-backed proposal to end the war, Axios and the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported on Monday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

The response allegedly rejects a ceasefire and instead calls for a permanent end to the war, while also demanding an end to regional conflict, safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz, reconstruction, and the lifting of sanctions.

According to those involved in the negotiations, the proposal is a "maximalist" option, and it remains unclear whether it would facilitate progress toward a diplomatic solution. Iran said it had relayed its response to Pakistan after two weeks of deliberations at the "highest levels."

Focus Universal next-gen AI SEC reporting software announcement sparks premarket surge.

On April 1, 2026, Focus Universal announced a task-execution AI system that goes beyond generative AI. It is designed to interpret financial data, automate XBRL tagging, EDGARization, and produce audit-ready SEC filings in minutes rather than weeks or months. The company’s subsidiary Perfecular plans to launch two related software products in April 2026—one for public companies and one for filing agents—with potential for a spin-off/IPO. This news, combined with the small-cap, low-float nature of the stock (recently trading around $3.30–$3.90 with limited shares available post-reverse split), appears to have driven speculative buying interest. The move aligns with other low-float names surging in the same premarket session. No new press release or event was identified specifically on April 6, but the April 1 announcement remains the most recent verifiable company-specific catalyst tied to high-growth AI/financial automation themes. Volume and retail chatter amplified the rapid gap-up from the April 2 close near $3.34.

Moolec controlling stake announced

Recent AIGC controlling stake announcement drives momentum-fueled premarket surge.

On or around April 2, 2026, Moolec Science SA filed a 6-K disclosing that Agriculture Investment Group Corp. (AIGC) had become its controlling shareholder, holding approximately 65.1% of outstanding shares following a partial conversion of preference shares into ordinary shares under an existing subscription agreement. The company described the development as strengthening its capital position and supporting future growth in its molecular farming platform for animal proteins and nutritional oils (such as GLA from safflower). This appears to be the most recent verifiable corporate event, occurring just days before the April 6 premarket session. The stock, which closed at $6.95 on April 2, gapped sharply higher in premarket trading on April 6 (reaching levels consistent with a ~48–65% gain amid elevated volume). As a low-float, volatile small-cap name with a history of triple-digit intraday swings on platform updates (e.g., February 2026 GLA concentration results), the move reflects speculative momentum trading and retail interest building on the ownership change rather than a same-day press release. No new company-specific announcement, earnings release, or regulatory filing was identified for April 6 itself; upcoming earnings are estimated around mid-April.
