United States Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Friday that he expects inflation to fall near the 2% target by the middle of the year. He predicted that the US economy will grow by at least 3% in the fourth quarter and by around 3% in 2025 overall.
In an interview with CNBC, Bessent commented on reports that US President Donald Trump plans to ease tariffs on steel and aluminum goods by saying that tariffs are Trump's decision. He added that, "if anything is done, it would be clarification on incidental objects."
